Privacy Policy

California Grower Foundation ("CGF") values the trust and reliance our member employers and plan participants place in us. We are committed to maintaining a personal and professional work place.

CGF'S PRIVACY PRINCIPLES

  • We do not sell or share information about CGF member employers or their employees.
  • We make personal information available externally only to respond to
    legitimate business needs of which you are previously informed or to respond to
    regulatory or other governmental authorities, or as required.

INFORMATION COLLECTED ABOUT YOU BY CGF

To provide you with excellent customer service, we gather information from applications, or from other forms, through telephone or in person, and/or internet search. We obtain name, address, telephone number, date of birth, gender, marital status, occupation, prior insurance information, health history, payment preferences and other billing information.

From your transactions with CGF we also obtain payment history, rates, and information learned from researching claims as approved on your behalf or on the behalf of your dependents and/or beneficiaries.

INFORMATION DISCLOSURE

CGF does not sell, lease, or rent the personal information of our customers, potential customers, or former customers to other companies. CGF does not provide personal information to persons or organizations for marketing purposes. CGF only shares our customers, prospective customers, and former customers information with other companies, and as otherwise permitted or required by law.

While we are gathering your information, we may disclose information to:

  • Other insurance or financial services companies affiliated with CGF
  • Companies or persons at your request
  • Businesses that provide services to us for underwriting, processing payments or
    changes to your policy, to assist us with claims adjusting, to protect you
    against fraud or unauthorized transactions
  • Companies or governmental entities as permitted or required by law

CHANGES TO YOUR PLAN

Our office strives to maintain accurate and current information for member employers and plan participants. You have the right to access and review your personal information and request corrections at any time. We will investigate and make corrections to update your records.
